Good old FOAF – that’s Friend Of A Friend – has come to my rescue yet again while my brain (what’s left of it) gets rejuvenated:

I have been in many places but I’ve never been in Kahoots. Apparently, you can’t go alone. You have to be in Kahoots with someone. I’ve also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.
I have, however, been in Sane. They don’t have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there thanks to my spouse, children, friends, family and work. I would like to go to Conclusions but you have to jump and I’m not too much on physical activity anymore.
I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go and I try not to visit there too often. I’ve been in Flexible but only when it was very important to stand firm.
Sometimes I’m in Capable and I go there more often as I’m getting older. One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense. It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!
I may have been in Continent but I don’t remember what country I was in. It’s an age thing. They tell me it is very wet and damp there.

Hook-Billed Albatross
She stakes her dreams to the field’s love-shielding
grass at the end of her perforated rainbow. He takes his
turn ensured that she loves him by her food shopping,
house cleaning, love making. The hawk’s nest resists
the wind, remains aloft, agape for eggs and hatchlings,
fertile reminders that measuring time, even if only once per
season, does not slow it down; that migrating King Mackerel
offer themselves in massive schools to even amateur anglers,
as buffaloes had before sported to death. Six-toed cats and trans-
continental reunions emit their cosmic hum. Games and big news
keep connections alive. New friends meet old in a town you
haven’t lived in for twenty-eight years. Opposite colors, orange
blue collide, retract, expand over oysters, not slimy to hide pearls,
but slippery to replicate the activities they supposedly support.
Then a bull gator walks out of Lake Alice, scares drunk frat boys
and walks back in without incident. Our corresponding spouses
see the joy, join in the stories, though they are older. Beer
loosens the social bra straps, allowing a free flow of ideas to
sprout forth. Ibis flock issues screams from Payne’s Prairie, let’s
face it, this prairie is a swamp, Audubon’s swamp, thus stinky.
I was going to go by bus to Day, but it was delayed and the next only went to Morrow.
Reading the responses inspires me to consider a trip to Ebriated.
It’s next to Toxicated.
Reblogged this on Skin Tickler and commented:
I’m considering a weekend trip to Ebriated.
I used to be in Dispensible but haven’t been invited back for a while. Now I’m in Consolable.
Adding the ‘in’ puts us ‘out.’
It seems to me that you were also in Spired when you wrote this. I hope the weather was nicer there than it’s been in the Big Apple.
The credit belongs to FOAF, not me. If I took the credit of others I would be in Tolerable (not to mention a plagiarist).
I hope you don’t think of me as in Considerate because I have yet to get out of Rageous . Before I went there, I was serenely gruntled, but then I was dissed and became, well, you know . . .
I have often wondered if you are required to be gruntled before becoming disgruntled; posed before being disposed; and plussed before being nonplussed.
Good questions, Curmie. But I do know that one must be armed before being disarmed, which is hardly disarming. So, there is that. However, the question pends, must one be abled before being disabled? I think not, but perhaps enabled. Certainly not unabled, although I sometimes feel that way. 🙂
I simply offer the observation that I would rather be disposed than deposed.
I agree although I have been in Disposed and it was not a pleasant place.
This is hilarious! Very clever. Did I miss the part about you being a professional humorist?
Calling me a “professional humorist” would leave me in Debted and in Credulous.
LOL. 🙂
This is fantastic! So funny. Hopefully it will be a long, long time before I end up in Continent.
You may be on a continent but not in Continent.
Meanwhile, I found out that I have been in Admissible and in Disposed.
Oh my my … this is priceless!
Yes, good ol’ FOAF to the rescue.
Hahaha!!! Love it. You are a permanent resident of Imitable!
Thank you. I don’t know that I’ve been in Imitable but I have been in Consequential.
